Jim Moir Joins Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines as Onboard Artist for the First-Ever ‘Moments Crew’

Renowned artist and comedian Jim Moir (also known as Vic Reeves) will be taking his easel and paints to the high seas as part of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ newly announced ‘Moments Crew’ in 2025. Alongside best-selling author Jenny Eclair and celebrity photographer Scarlet Page, Moir will help capture guests’ most memorable experiences onboard.

The ‘Moments Crew’ initiative is a first for the cruise industry, designed to document the big and small moments that make traveling unforgettable. From stunning landscapes to casual moments with newfound friends, Moir’s artistic perspective will help immortalize these experiences on canvas. His participation begins with a Norwegian Fjords cruise, where he’ll bring the breathtaking natural beauty and wildlife, such as puffins and auks, to life through his signature expressive style.

“Some of my happiest memories are from traveling,” Moir says. “I’m looking forward to capturing the spectacular scenery and special moments for guests. Personally, I hope to see dramatic waterfalls, interesting birds, and plenty of inspiring views.”

Fred. Olsen’s ‘Moments Crew’ was created after research revealed that 82% of people consider their top life memories to be made while traveling. The initiative offers guests the chance to have their unique moments documented by professionals like Moir during dedicated onboard sessions. Guests can enter a ballot for the chance to have their favorite scenic views painted by Moir, creating personalized works of art as lasting mementos.

Bookings for the 2025 cruises featuring Moir and the rest of the ‘Moments Crew’ are now available on Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ website.
