A Brush With Comedy is a feature documentary about the connection between comedy and art. The story focuses on five comedians – Jim Moir (Vic Reeves), Spencer Jones, Bec Hill, Simon Munnery and Miriam Elia – as they create artwork over the course of three years, for a group exhibition in central London.
The film is written and directed by Jim’s son, exploring the themes of comedy, art, and inner conflicts.
Louis Moir says: “I have explored the lives of some incredibly talented individuals and to discover a collection of people that share the same values and approach to comedy and art in a similar way as my dad, has been a cathartic process for me as a filmmaker, and as his son.”
